Pedestrian and Evacuation Dynamics (PED) is an international conference that is held every two years with international participation of scientists, practitioners, and representatives of authorities, and welcomes contributions from physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science and vision, psychology, and sociology, as well as contributions from practitioners.

The scope of the conference includes, but is not strictly limited to, various topics related to pedestrian dynamics:
- experiments and data acquisition,
- statistical evaluation and fundamental aspects of pedestrian flow,
- fire safety and safety aspects,
- psychological and behavioral aspects,
- model development, calibration and validation,
- simulation studies,
- applications and crowd management,
- machine learning, computer vision, and VR research in pedestrian dynamics.
