Travel Information

Prague has one of the best public transportation systems in Europe. We encourage the conference attendees to use it for transport around Prague; it operates from day to night. Traffic scheme of metro and tram lines may be helpful.

The Prague public transport mobile app (PID Lítačka) allows you to find public transport connections and purchase tickets for your journey, which we recommend. Tickets can be purchased also in yellow vending machines at metro stations (validation required in a validator) and in every tram (contactless only, no validation). If you want to travel by train around Prague, the mobile app My train (Můj vlak) offers the same functionality as PID Lítačka.

The conference venue is close to the following public transports:

  • metro line A (green) – Dejvická station (follow the exit E1, 8 min by walk),
  • tram number 8 and 18 (Lotyšská stop, 6 min by walk), 20 and 26 (Dejvická stop, 10 min by walk),
  • buses – Dejvická or Lotyšská stops.

If you want to travel by car and park near the conference venue, you can use residential parking zones and pay using the mobile app (PID Lítačka), just like for the public transportation. Parking is also available in the building of the National Technical Library in the campus.

To transport from Prague airport to the city centre (e.g. conference venue), you can take trolley bus no. 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín, then take metro line A to Dejvická station (two stops), which takes around 30 minutes. To transport from the railway station Hlavní nádraží to the conference venue, you can take the metro line C to Muzeum station and then change to metro line A to Dejvická station.
