Basic information

Date:9 September 2025, 9:00-17:00.
Topic:Data acquisition from pedestrian experiments.
Tutors:Maik Boltes, Alica Kandler (Pedestrian Dynamics – Empiricism, Forschungszentrum Jülich).

Team of
Image Processing Laboratory (Faculty of Information Technology, Czech Technical University in Prague).
Idea:The workshop is designed to be attractive for both, people with low experience with experiments (learning to prepare and use the tools) and people already experienced or experts (discussions over disputed points, sharing their experience).
Content:Introduction to ethical aspects of evacuation experiments. Evacuation experiment with participation of workshop participants. Few simple tools and techniques to acquire data from the records. Introduction of PeTrack as advanced tool for data acquisition. Practical seminar in PC lab, where participants can try out the introduced techniques with assistance by the tutors.
